That's One Big Zucchini

We were at Junior's cousins house this afternoon, and she gave me these zucchini out of her garden.  I plan on making zucchini bread on Sunday.  I have a recipe that I have used in the past, and the bread comes out delicious.

I am drooling a little just thinking about it.

Dawn ~ I have no idea what a starter is. Bread is another of my weaknesses...I don't really like white bread, but am kind of addicted to the 12 grains, and french bread, and bagels, and banana bread, and zucchini bread...well, you get the idea!

Lydia ~ as soon as I get it baked, I will post the recipe, with pictures!

The Amish Friendship Bread was started by the Amish. They can only start it. Once you get a starter from a friend and the instructions. I got it from a friend. It comes in a freezer zip lock bag. You don't freeze it or regrigerate it. You mush the bag for several days. I believe on day 5 you add 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of milk. You mush the bag and let the air out for 5 more days, I think. On day 10 you bake the bread. From the starter. You then will end of with three more starters. You keep one for yourself and pass them onto friends. It keeps going that way. If you are interested, let me know. I could send you a starter on Monday. That is baking day! It is fun. My hubby will be baking 6 loaves of bread. Two for him, two for my Mom that I will priority ship to her, she lives in FL. I have a friend in UT, that I will send she and her family two loaves of bread and a starter.

It is cinnamon bread. A friend added an Gala apple and some walnuts or pecans. We haven't done that. I have only tasted it. I don't do breads, so I am not interested in it.

Let me know or email me with your address if you would like a starter or if you want more info !!
